SAVE HILLCREST!

 In the last several years, there have been a significant number of remodels which are insensitive to our historic buildings, out-of-scale new builds, as well as, demolitions in our --National Register of Historic Places listed --neighborhood.  Although interest in our Historic District is a good thing, unthoughtful planning and the destruction of our historic buildings and streetscapes is not.  Concerned neighbors formed Save Hillcrest! to advocate for and educate the community on the importance of retaining our historic streetscapes and architecture and to promote sensitive development within it.

Historic Preservation is not about stopping change or squeezing out new architecture and development. It is about retaining the best of our shared heritage while planning ahead and having a community conversation to guide future change so it respects our architectural heritage, enhancing our community.
